"To be obedient to God's whispers rather than to the prompting of foolish men."

Until Jesus came, the Law of Moses was the rule of law for what it meant to be obedient to God. It was THE written word on how to be spiritual and a guide to what pleases Him. In addition to the Ten Commandments, there were so many rules. At first the rules were given by God. Later, over many centuries, rules were added by religious men based on their own understanding. These religious men were supposed to help God's children find their way to peace with God, but instead lead them astray. (Matthew 23:4; Matthew 23:13)

The Law of Moses was meant by God to be a beautiful representation of how to worship and serve Him. It outlined how to conduct ourselves and walk as children of God going so far as to represent the conduct in the very chambers of heaven. Man then took that, added their own rules and regulations, and created something spiritually oppressive.

God designed a new way. He sent our Lord Jesus to raise us up above the Law. The Lord Jesus said:

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” ‭‭John‬ ‭13:34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Love. This was just the start. To love others with the same love by which we ourselves are loved by God. (John 17:26) To live our lives not for ourselves, but to honor and serve God. (Galatians 2:20) To put God and others first before yourself. (Matthew 22:37-40) To do all those things by the power of the Spirit of God and NOT with your own strength. (John 15:5)

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In order to be elevated above the Law of Moses, you must be born-again. (John 3:5-6) Simply put, your soul must die to the world and be resurrected and married in Christ who is even now at the right hand of God. (Romans 6:4; Romans 7:4) Your earnest desire needs to be to receive the Holy Spirit of God. Without it, you cannot walk in the presence God and are still under the tutoring of the Law of Moses. (Galatians 3:24-25) Under the tutor of the Law, you cannot please God no matter how hard you try. (Romans 8:7-9) And ultimately, are condemned by it. (Galatians 2:16)

"Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" John 3:3 NKJV

You cannot enter heaven unless you are born again in this life. It is too late if you wait until after you leave. The Spirit of God transforms your soul from dead to living. The Spirit of God is not given to you to oppress you but to free you from the oppression from Law and the rules of men. The Spirit of God will help you live as born-again Christians obedient to His prompting as He helps you live a life that truly pleases God. To be obedient to God's whispers rather than to the prompting of foolish men.

God bless you in Christ Jesus the Lord, always.
