"Humility is key to finding peace, or even sensing it

within you, as you endure trials."

When we are anxious about our circumstances in the midst of the tests and trials we are made to endure in life, the hardest thing to show is calm. When something happens that is out of your control, do you panic? Do you suffer anxiety? Do you lash out? Or do you dive into prayer knowing God is in control? (Psalm 56:3)

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭46:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What kind of response will you give to hardship? The maturity of a person's faith in Christ bears fruit when those around you witness your response to suffering. For them to see you suffer, then openly thanking and praising God our Father through Christ Jesus our Lord brings glory to God.

The point is, to be still and to be smiling while things around you seem to be caving in is a witness to the strength of your faith. Not of your own devices, physical endurance, tolerance or conditioning, but a witness to your belief that God will be faithful to walk alongside you every step of the way. As you go from trial to trial, from glory to glory, your godly attitude through your suffering will shine brighter and brighter. Your faith becomes stronger through each victory. It becomes an example to those around you as you glorify God at the end of every breath (Psalm 86:12) displaying calm and confidence as you take each step with God the Father through Christ our Lord.

“A man’s steps are of the LORD; How then can a man understand his own way?” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭20:24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

...and,

“For His eyes are on the ways of man, And He sees all his steps.” ‭‭Job‬ ‭34:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God sees you, loves you, and lovingly guides you through your hardships. He keeps you on the path He Himself set before you, even if you think you've strayed or have gone off course. (Psalm 56:8) God designed each trial for you to not only grow in your faith, but become a beacon to those around you of His Mercy and Goodness.

Submission to God while in the midst of a trial doesn't require your humiliation, rather your humility. (Micah 6:8) As you humble yourself more and more, the more you'll see Him at work in your life. Humility is key to finding peace, or even sensing it within you, as you endure trials. God's desire, along with many other things, is for you to be His witness as those around you see your calm, your peace, as you openly place your trust in Him.

God bless you in Christ Jesus the Lord, always.
